I am investing full time now!

I am excited to share that I have joined Village Global as an Investment Partner this week.

Village is a generalist VC fund that leads pre-seed and seed rounds across sectors and geographies. Importantly, Village has built a special community. As I’ve gotten to know the team and numerous founders, investors and angels they’ve backed, I’ve been especially struck by how excited I feel after every interaction. They somehow manage to bring out the best in so many people. This is rare and special!

Why does this matter?

📚 Iconic founders are learners before they are legendary.

😕 Everyday products are clumsy before they are canon.

🤡 Generation-defining companies are jokes before they are juggernauts.

Some investors seek what’s easy and conventional and, hilariously, de-risked. That’s not my style. I prefer to imagine a future and will it into being. Even if it’s hard. Especially if it’s hard! (Just look at my resume– how else does a poor kid who grew up on WIC get a PhD, land jobs at iconic companies like Airbnb and Replit, found a company and now get to partner with founders to bring their dreams to life?)
